Practicing Self Love

When you don’t know your value, people will put you in places you don’t deserve.

It is said that self-compassion and self-love have a positive impact on our mental health and our emotional state, both in terms of decreasing anxiety, depression, anger, and loneliness and also increasing support and encouragement for ourselves.

Self-love involves accepting yourself as you are and treating yourself with love, compassion, and kindness. Self-love is not dependent on external validation; rather it requires you to be aware of your worth and value, without the need for constant reminders or reassurance from others.

Loving yourself also means embracing your entire being, including your strengths and weaknesses, triumphs and challenges, successes and mistakes. Self-love is a healthy and stable self-concept based on your ideas, observations, and values rather than the opinions and judgment of others. Self-love is foundational to your mental health and well-being. You become more vulnerable to physical and mental health problems when you rely on others to shape how you feel about yourself.

We are stronger than our situations and our presence serves a purpose. It starts with you believing, trusting, and acting accordingly that you deserve to be safe, heard, valued, and loved.

‘YOU ARE WORTH IT‘ you always have been.

Here are some tips to help get started with self-care

Practice gratitude: Remind yourself daily of things you are grateful for.

Stay connected: Reach out to your friends or family members who can provide emotional support and practical help.

Eat healthy and stay hydrated: A balanced diet and plenty of water can improve your energy and focus throughout the day. Also, get some exercise in, small amounts of exercise add up and it improves your body and mindset.

Make sleep a priority: Stick to a schedule and ensure you get enough sleep. Blue light from devices and screens can make it harder to fall asleep, so reduce blue light exposure from your phone or computer before bedtime.

I believe In you, you can do this!
